for alto flute and piano

One of my favourite places in Augsburg is the Japanese garden in the botanical garden. It was created by gardeners from Nagahama and Amagasaki. Walking through a Japanese garden, so the philosophy, is like walking through the seasons or through one whole life. So, I composed the four parts each in one of the four seasons, that is in March, June, September and December respectively. The sounds of the alto flute give the piece its special mystical, Far Eastern character.
