A saxophone within the space of a church; soundscapes, inspired by the polyphony in the solo suites of Johann Sebastian Bach and the meditative structures of the likes of Steve Reich or Michael Nyman.
In his solo programme „streaming“, Christian Elin succeeds in making a single saxophone sound like a little orchestra, inspired by the idea of Minimal Music and through complete technical mastership, he takes the listener on a meditative journey, which is touching and instills inspiration.
He confronts his own pieces with extracts from the solo suites for cello and flute by Johann Sebastian Bach and music by Steve Reich, Graham Fitkin and Karen Tanaka. ____
