There have been many wonderful solo compositions for the saxophone over the past 100 years Orchestra and choir written by Claude Debussy, Florent Schmitt, Alexander Glasunow, Heitor Villa-Lobos right up to Giya Kancheli and John Adams.
These are all very special occasions, being able to perform these works and I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to do so again and again in the past few years with fantastic orchestras and choirs. These included the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra / Vilnius, the Kammerphilharmonie Frankfurt, the Orchester de Chambre Nouvelle Europe / Paris, the Orchestre symphonique de Mulhouse and the Sinfonia Concertante Bremen. In 2012 I performed my saxophone concerto „WAVES“ for the first time, and in 2015 it had its French premiere as part of the World Saxophone Congress in Strasbourg.
