"Hymn to Anjou" or "Angevin hymn": The Anjou in western France, is located on the last kilometres of the Loire and has its own microclimate: “La douceur angevine”- “the softness” of Anjou. Contrasting with this mildness a 13/8 tempo emerges in this piece again and again which makes the listener stagger now and again, as if he had been drinking much of the delicious wine grown in this region.
