for soprano saxophone (versions for clarinet or flute) solo
Duration: 14’00
Year: 2008
The three-movement, fifteen-minute work was based on the idea of transferring Bach's Preludes and his works for solo instruments into the modern age: similar to the partitas for violin or the suites for violoncello, the polyphonic possibilities of the soprano saxophone are put to the test. Mastery of circular breathing and a room with lots of natural reverberation are of great advantage for the performance of the triptych so that the polyphony of the work can develop in the best possible way.
